Did Liverpool Finesse two Premier League teams?

Rhian Brewster Completes Move From Liverpool To Sheffield United

Liverpool had two prospects last season, one Rhian Brewster who spent the season on loan at Swasnsea in the EFL Championship. He played 20 games and scored 10 goals which is good for 19-20 year old but then you need to consider the price tag. Sheffield United payed 28.60 million for 10 Championship goals, and that is absolutely mad. Another factor is the values reported from transfermarkt. His value right now is only 5.94 million dollar. They paid like over 4 times the value of him. The potential may be there but there needs to be something Sheffield sees in him that others don't because you don't just pay nearly 30 million for a normal prospect.

The second player Ki-Jana Hoever situation is also kind of strange as the 18 year old had never before played in an actual Premier League game. Since his transfer to Wolves he has seen a total of 29 minutes of Premier League action as he will sit behind Nelson Semedo for the tie being. His only really experiences in games have been in youth competitions. Of curse we know he is very young but even more than Brewster he is unproven across all boards, so that leads us to the same question is 9 million dollars really the amount of money you want to spend on an unproven 18 year old right back? And again the market value from transfermarkt comes into play. His value is 3.96 million dollars. Wolves paid almost triple that.

These deals may become massive bargains particularly Hoever's deal but a lot is still unknown. To me these transfers are very dumb, at the moment. No loans, nothing. Just paying combined around 40 million for two players who are not even 21. It is kind of mind boggling even with the up side the young men have. Brewster for me is especially concerning, when you are 20 years old and your biggest footballing achievements have been at Swansea in the second division and you then have a nearly 30 million dollar price tag on your head. Wow, just wow.
