Should Conte sign for Tottenham?

Image
As reported by many news outlets Antonio Conte is in advanced talks with Tottenham Hotspur, should he take the job or not? My opinion on the matter is that he shouldn't take the job because of Tottenham's track record and roster. But if he were to join what would he do?     I believe if Conte were to sign with Spurs, Harry Kane and Son would stay one more year. He his a quality manager and has a proven track record of winning trophies recently, which Mourinho did really have(the last trophy he won was in 2016/17).  We also know Harry Kane wanted Mourinho to stay, which is another sign that he wants to work with the best managers.      My main question about this job is Tottenham's squad. In their Champions League Final season their top 3 most used players were Toby Alderweireld, Christian Eriksen and Hugo Lloris. This past season the top 3 most used players were Hugo Lloris, Pierre-Emile Hoj...

Did Liverpool Finesse two Premier League teams?

Image
Liverpool had two prospects last season, one Rhian Brewster who spent the season on loan at Swasnsea in the EFL Championship. He played 20 games and scored 10 goals which is good for 19-20 year old but then you need to consider the price tag. Sheffield United payed 28.60 million for 10 Championship goals, and that is absolutely mad. Another factor is the values reported from transfermarkt. His value right now is only 5.94 million dollar. They paid like over 4 times the value of him. The potential may be there but there needs to be something Sheffield sees in him that others don't because you don't just pay nearly 30 million for a normal prospect.  The second player Ki-Jana Hoever situation is also kind of strange as the 18 year old had never before played in an actual Premier League game. Since his transfer to Wolves he has seen a total of 29 minutes of Premier League action as he will sit behind Nelson Semedo for the tie being. His only really experiences in games have been...

The Bundeliga's Brits.

Image
The Bundesliga is know for being the launching pad for many bright careers throughout the world of football. Young stars from all over the world come to hone their skills in the Bundesliga providing moments of individual genius as well as team genius. Over the past years the Bundesliga has really started to become the second home for young English and American talents, who get taken into academy's play well and then are sold for a big profit. If you can tell from the title this will be especially about the Brits in the Bundesliga. The story starts with Kevin Keegan a native of Armthrope, England. He is a 3 time English Champion, 1 time European Club Champion and 1 time German Champion. To add the cherry on top of his trophy case you can add the 1978 Ballon d'Or and 1979 Ballon d'Or. A great career. His Bundesliga journey starts in the 1978/79 season where he transfers from Liverpool to Hamburg for 1.29 million dollars. He played only 90 games in total in the Bundesliga sc...

A comparison between Kepa and Edouard Mendy

Image
Kepa cost around 88 million dollars, Mendy cost around 26 million. There is a big difference in price between those two guys. Kepa is Spanish, Mendy comes from Senegal. There are many differences between these two guys, but one thing that is not different is the position they play. Goalkeeper. One of the most difficult positions mentally, as you are they last line when you play there. If you play well, you may get nominated for the Ballon d'Or, play poorly you will receive more criticism than  almost anyone. It is tough. Kepa coming off a horrible year and Mendy coming off a year with the French surprise team Stade Rennais. So lets look at the stats. Kepa: Kepa has come off a frankly horrendous year for Chelsea's defense in general. Chelsea conceded a total of 54 goals in the Premier League. That is the most goals conceded until 11th placed Southampton. It is honestly shameful and yet they still finished 4th. In the Prem...

Why the Diogo Jota signing makes so much sense for Liverpool

Image
Diogo Jota. A Portuguese international, a versatile piece for any offense. His primary position is on the left wing but can also play as a striker or shadow striker. Liverpool spent around 41 million euros on him which could rise to 45 million. In the 2019/20 season, Jota played at Wolverhampton. So let's talk about his season 2019/20: Diogo Jota played in 48 games in all competitions, 42 if you do not include Europa League qualifying. I will also exclude Europa League because that is not a competition Liverpool will be playing in next year. So that leaves us with the Premier League. In the Premier League, he played in 34 out of the 38 games. In those 34 appearances, he played 2,298 minutes. During these games, he recorded 7 goals and 1 assist. He is also most dangerous as a left winger as 7 goals and 1 assist came from him playing on the left wing.  So after you look at his resume for the last season you may think it is not very impre...
